EI Malawi Refurbishes Zomba District Council Offices
Outgoing Zomba District Commissioner (DC) Raphael Piringu says Malawi can achieve socio economic development if the private sector complements government’s efforts in development.
The DC said this on 8th of July when he was appreciating refurbishments that Emmanuel international Malawi made to Zomba District Council and the district’s agricultural offices, and donation of tyres and computers to Eastern Region Police and Malawi prison Offices.
“The refurbishments have boosted the outlook of the two government departments. The tyres and computers will help in security matters”, he said.
On his part, EI Malawi’s Country Director Charles Mukiwa said: “Let us remember that development is a two-way process between government and the private sector; hence the support that Zomba District Council renders in the implementation of our projects cannot be overemphasized.”
EI Malawi has been in operational in the district for more than 10 years implementing various projects in health, agriculture and nutrition, among others.
