During the presentations, the director indicated that the project has registered a high level of male involvement in escorting their spouses for antenatal clinics, capacity building in health surveillance assistants, communities adopting backyard gardens and improvement of nutrition statuses of under-five children.

Speaking after receiving the items, Zomba district environmental health officer innocent Mvula described the consignment as timely saying the computers will help the facility in keeping real-time data as well as motorbikes will ease mobility challenges in rural health centres. “the impact that the project has had in the catchment area cannot be overemphasized and we are committed to sustain it as well as manage these materials prudently until maternal and neonatal deaths are condensed in the district,” he said.
